Avatar Scatter217847726NoCom NS2The purpose of this mod is to create an NS2 experience that is somewhere in between Combat and Vanilla NS2, providing more simplified RTS mechanics than Vanilla, the removal of the marine and alien commanders, while maintaining fundamental marine-alien combat mechanics.\n\n\nThis mod is still a work in progress and still requires features to be implemented, balanced and tested. Significant consideration for structure costs will need to be made. A brief description of fundamental changes is found below:\n\n\nMarine Team\n\n\n*Marine commander has been removed\n\n\n*Structure placement and building now is the role of a ?builder? exo which places structures in first person from a gorge style menu, and builds them with the welder it now has. Multiple builders may be purchased or a single one can be used by multiple people.\n\n\n*Structure placement now requires PRES like for NS1 aliens thus requiring a team effort in affording higher tech.\n\n\n*Tech is now unlocked through structure placement rather than through research. CCs unlock higher level tech while other structures are needed to buy the equipment.\n\n\n*Weapons and Armor upgrades increase with the more CCs possessed provided an arms lab has been built.\n\n\n*Medpack and ammo currently supplied through a combat mod style resupply system. This will change at a later date.\n\n\n*Builder exo will be upgradable to incentivise keeping one around like you would a gorge. Directional scans, arcs, etc.\n\n\nAlien Team\n\n\n*Alien commander has been removed\n\n\n*NS1 style building and tech unlocks, while keeping all the NS2 abilities and movement.\n\n\n*Tier 2 Abilities unlocked at second hive, tier 3 abilities at third hive.\n\n\n*Gorge building costing pres\n\n\n*Spurs, Shells and Veils unlock upgrades\n\n\n*No drifter or khamm abilities in the game\n\n\nAs the mod is not finished, don't expect to be able to play a game on it yet.No381.361 KiBJan 18, 201408-02-2014 04:21:49
