Turning speed is no longer infinite, "air control" is now 156, (Fade's effective forward air control is 80). -Increased vertical acceleration while gliding 6 -> 8. -Can now gliding upward at minimum speed without hitting an "invisible ceiling". -Air friction is now also constantly applied to the vertical component of gliding velocity, instead of only the horizontal speed. -Increased ground speed from 2.8 to 4. -Reduced celerity bonus by 25% when moving on the ground. -Lerk can now wall walk. Fixed wall cling/walk animation stutter. -Taking off from wall/ceiling doubles the flap force, boosts Lerk to maximum flight speed. === Dive === -Crouching is now usable to interrupt gliding, without having to release the jump key. -Diving gravity increased from 42 to 55. -Diving now consumes energy, at the rate of 12 per second, increase air friction dramatically, and creates flapping sounds, to addresses the silent and free speed gain exploit. === Glide === -Maximum gliding speed increased from 13 to 15.6 when flying downward. -Gliding diagonal movement angle increased slightly (from 26 to 31 degrees). -After flapping, minimum glide speed is 8, increased from 4. -Touching the ground or a wall while gliding causes increased friction. -Lerk can continue to gain height at minimum speed. === Flight === -Air strafe (air movement when not gliding) acceleration increased from 18 to 28. -Forward diagonal flap force increased from 7 to 8.3 (to same as forward flap force). -Upward flap (no direction) has increased force. === Animation === -Smoothed glide and air strafe transition animations. -Lerk model pitch angle now also accounts for vertical velocity. -Lerk X dimension (wingspan/width) reduced by 15%. == Other balance changes == -Spike damage increased from 5 to 6. ![]() | 2591191158 | BallerBall Fix | Gorge union reported bad behavior of babblers :-) These changes are to give the babbler and babbler "bait" a more natural feel and increase quality of life for the gorges. Changes: - Detach will do a slight scatter of the babblers instead of a strait line. Looks more natural as they are attached all over the body. Also less of a one spot target. - The babblers will follow the juicy ball instead of just staying at first impact location. Looks strange when the ball can be in complete different location than where the babblers are moving to. - Babblers will not go back/cling until the bait ball is expired. Looks strange when the ball can be out for longer time than the babblers. Babbler ball expire after 5 sec, Babblers now stay for 8. Looks like they are searching for the ball for 3 sec until they give up and go to master. - Babblers will not take move order if they are attacking a target. Ground friction and acceleration are reduced when charging. A weaker Charge is available without research. Charge cooldown increased from 0.5 to 0.8 second. Charge bonus speed fades over 0.9 second instead of instantly at the end of Charge. Increased Charge energy cost from 20 to 35 per second. Charge push back force is reduced on Marines (from 120% of current speed + 10, down to 110% speed + 5). Advanced Charge increases Charge damage to 25 damage every 0.7 second. (Graphic) Changed the "ground pounding" effect at charge end to play at the beginning of charge instead. Stomp reworked: Stomp now knocks back nearby marines instead, and deals 40 Structural damage within a 3.2 radius (max 70 damage including shockwave). Shockwave now deals 30 Structural damage, slows marines briefly for 0.8 seconds and disrupts marines for 1.0 seconds, causing their aim to become inaccurate and preventing reloading.
