Original Description:In the recently released build 236 of NS2, the minimum distance between cysts has been increased from 2m to 6m. This has made cyst placement more difficult and in some cases almost impossible. I present this Khammander Interface mod that eases the uncertainty of cyst placement by explicitly highlighting areas within which a cyst cannot be placed. Note: As this circle texture is used for more than just cyst placement, it will appear in places where it is not relevant, however I feel that the need to know where cyst placement is legal, when the stakes are high, more than makes up for that. This affects both weapons being held by other marines (both friendly and enemy) as well as weapons dropped on the floor. It's also visible as a commander, so you can give your troops more strategic instructions based on the weapon loadouts. Pistol - Cyan Rifle - Blue Shotgun - Green Grenade Launcher - Magenta Flamethrower - Yellow Mines, grenades and other general projectiles have not been altered, cause that would be pushing it a bit far. | 112226590 | ns2_co_nest | -------------Combat Map------------ Personal Log Sam Higgins Chief Medical Officer Frakkas Complex Sirius Sector TSA Orbital scans had detected rich veins of the Blue Crystal mineral the TSA use in the manufacture of their nanite technology in a cave system not too far from the industrial complex Frakkas. A engineering team was dispatched for a preliminary analysis of the area. Of the 10 Engineers sent only 1 of the team returned. I didn't think much of it at the time when I was told I had 1 patient called Alex from the engineering team that needed to be looked at immediately. I thought he had slipped and broke a leg while on mission. I walked into the room and stopped cold in my tracks. There sitting on a gurney was Alex covered head to toe in the blood of his other team members, His hand had been bitten off, His eyes where wide and wild. His eyes seemed to be searching every corner of the room, while I tried to tend to injuries and interview him about the encounter. In his manic, hysterical twitchy state, I didn't obtain much information about the incident. What I did find out, It was hostile Xenoform that seems live in the cave system. Just 1 of them, a dog like figure with teeth as long as a man's fingers, and moved so fast it seem to appear from no where. Killed the whole engineering team tearing them to shreds. Every time I clicked my pen to write some more notes down Alex jumped. He said thats the sound they make when they come for you. Most likely its the same xenoform that has been rumored to a gremlin lurking in the bowels of the Frakkas complex. causing power outages and weird chuckling like noises scaring the wits out Frakkas employees. Till today no one had given the gremlin rumors much credit. TSA command has since taken over the coordination of the Frakkas project. Since it got wind of the xenoform actually being spotted. In fact I've never seen such a swift reaction from the TSA. 3 Marine drop ships broke the atmosphere 6 hours after the initial report about Alex, the sole survivor of an Alien encounter was reported. One landed at the Frakkas landing pad and a group of Marines stormed directly from it into my medical bay and escorted Alex to one awaiting drop ship under protest from me, as a nanite medical pack was still rebuilding his hand and it was best he shouldn't be moved till it finished. At this protest one of the marines pulled a switch axe out and said he would take his hand off again if I didn't get out of their way. One look at his face and I could tell this marine wasn't joking. I released Alex into their custody. I haven't seen him since. I've asked for the doctor that was seeing him now. I've been met with nothing but silence. Another drop ship had a command chair attached to it's underbelly. It flew straight to the cave site. The speculation circling is the cave system is likely to house this life forms nest and it's likely near the richest deposits of the blue crystal mineral due to the natural warmth the crystals radiate. Of the little information that being whispered around the water cooler. The engineering teams survey seems to of created a tactical advantage for the TSA. Due to the water erosion in the cave system much of the crystals are already exposed and ready for use. Most likely why a command chair was rushed onto location. The 3rd Drop ship we guess has crack team of Marines that have been sent to this location to clear out this nest and secure the minerals. Hopefully clearing out this nest will bring down 2 birds with 1 stone. Secure the mineral deposits and end Frakkas Complexes gremlin problems for good. What ever the case my staff and I have been commandeered by TSA command and put on high alert. We have been told to expect casualties. It's been over 3 hours since the drop ships first arrived. Only one marine has been phased though to the medical lab he happened to be corpse. I started an analysis on some of the appendages that had been detached and bagged and there seems to be some sort of fast growing bacteria all over the inside of the bags. I quickly examined the wounds on the corpse and found the bacteria present there as well. I ordered the corpse to be burned immediately. I quarantined all personal that has come into contact with the corpse and the medical lab. It's been an hour since I quarantined the Medical bay and it is only now that I realised due to the frightful speed of growth of this bacteria, I fear my actions in quarantining are in vain.
